Ed horsford Developed Shoot
Why did I decide to do this shoot?
At this point I still didn't know what direction I was heading in with the project but I knew that I wanted to do some more experimentation. So I jumped back onto the web and found a photographer called Ed Horsford. He did a series of photographs on balloons popping and I thought that it could be a good step foward. It wasn't very successful but I learnt some things in the process so it wasn't so bad.
This shoot was difficult from the start. Due to the fast paced popping it was near impossible to capture the the balloon popping via photograph. So instead of doing this I recorded the balloons popping and got multiple videos. I then broke the videos down into their frames and sorted through them. Unfortunately even these weren't great. However I did get about about three photographs. Terrible but I gave it a go. I tried coloured water and it worked a lot better against the white background that I was using. I also put some glitter in them and that defiantly made them more interesting. It was just a shame that it wasn't very successful. Anyway below are the only three photographs and they have been edited.
