Mark Mawson Developed Shoot

Statement of Intent:

I am happy with the 'Further developed Sudek shoot' but I still need to work on the compositioning of some of the photographs. Due to this, I prefer my first Sudek shoot as the style of photography just seems to work much better in black and white. In-spite of this I got some interesting results and achieved some high quality photography. I now wish to proceed with my development of liquid based photography by studying a photographer called Mark Mawson.

I have been looking at Mark Mawson's work and he has explored a similar idea to what I have been doing. In his 'Aqueous rainbow Skies' series be experimented with paint and inks in water. The paint works a lot better than ink as it doesn't disperse as much. After taking his photographs he would then flip them to change the perspective. I wish to recreate his shoot using the same materials. I have purchased a small fish tank to help me do so and will be using the paints offered by the art department for the shoot. The shutter speed will be high as normal to help capture the perfect moment and aperture will be very low.
