Corey Holms Developed PhotoShoot
After the eventual success of the experimentation of dyes in water I am keen too experiment with further ways of using liquids as a medium for my photography. Research on Corey Holms has given me the idea to experiment with oils and paint as a different medium, over water.
The shoot will will be performed in a very similar way to which Corey Holms performed his. I will be using a light box, a glass dish, food colouring and olive oil. The light box is being used to help make the liquid and its contents easier to photograph and to also help bring out the strong colours of the food dyes in the photographs. The glass dish will be used to hold the liquids and as its opaque the light from the light box can shine though it and onto the liquids. Finally the food colouring/dye will be used as the medium in the chosen liquid to photograph and the olive oil will be used to add odd opaque shapes that will float on the surface of the water. The shoot will also be performed in the dark so that the oils and paints are properly illuminated.
